Daily Devotion:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 ESV
The weight of legalism and guilt can keep us from understanding the freedom and peace available through salvation in Christ. Your good works should be a result of your relationship with God, not to earn eternal life. Seek peace and rest with Jesus, who said “my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Heavenly Father, I long for the peace that only you can provide. I lay my burdens at your feet. Amen.
