Daily Inspiration for Family Caregivers

Nurturing Faith and Caregiving

Join us on a journey of spiritual growth as we challenge one another to live boldly for Christ while caregiving.

Reflecting on Scripture

Daily Devotion:

“The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12: 13 ESV

Caregiving strips us bare and exposes what is real in our faith. When routines are relentless and strength is limited, it becomes harder to rely on appearances or easy answers. What remains is our genuine belief. Ecclesiastes brings us back to the heart of our faith–a steady devotion to God and keeping his commandments.

For family caregivers, the evidence will be in choosing kindness when your patience is thin, clinging to God’s teachings when life is unfair, or walking with joy because of the hope of salvation through Christ. The Fruit of the Spirit will be in all the things you do, seen or unseen.

Remember that keeping God’s commandments isn’t about checking a spiritual box. The work you do as a caregiver is a reflection of the love you have for God. It is born out of a relationship and not to earn favor or forgiveness. Don’t let your faith or caregiving be about vanity– trying to look a certain part– but let it be rooted in reverence for God.
